The huge screen instantly makes everything feel more immersive — from open-world games to competitive shooters. Colors are vibrant, motion is smooth, and the HDR really pops.
Just make sure you have fast internet.

The smart/AI stuff is cool but can be a bit much at times. Nice TV overall, just not the best if you’re trying to save money.

Amazing TV!

Beautiful picture, better brightness, and amazing contrast. If you are thinking about purchasing just do it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The tv looks great, but based on the price I think the picture of the B5 or C5 is nearly as good. If you absolutely need the "top end" tv, then get the G5. Otherwise, save money and get the other models

Nearly Perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG 83” G5 is a stunning TV and easily one of the best displays I’ve owned. The picture quality is phenomenal—deep blacks, excellent contrast, and a clean, vibrant image that looks fantastic no matter what I’m watching. Everything feels quick and responsive, and after a couple of weeks of daily use, the performance has been consistently excellent. From a pure viewing standpoint, this TV absolutely delivers.
Where it falls short is in the gallery experience, which was a major reason I chose this model. During my research, I reviewed what appeared to be the gallery functionality for this TV, but after purchase I realized much of that content reflected the previous version of LG’s Gallery rather than the current Gallery Plus. The current implementation is more limited and seems to remove support for truly static images and other features that previously existed. I haven’t found a way to restore the older version, which was disappointing.
Customization options could also be improved. More control over gallery behavior and system settings would better match the premium nature of the TV and elevate the overall experience.
Overall, the LG 83” G5 offers incredible picture quality and strong performance, and I’m very happy with it as a TV. With improvements to the gallery software and deeper customization options, it could easily be a five-star product.

Disappointed at this time

I just purchased the G6 after having the G5. I noticed immediately that the G6 is not as bright and many scenes as the G5. Now that I’m reading reviews from the top reviewers, they are also noticing this and actually. Rtings.com testing shows that the G6 actually is dimmer in HDR content. This TV is advertised as their brightest OLED ever yet its brightness is not showing. What I will say is it has incredible fine detail and a huge step up in that area over the G5. They’re obviously needs to be some updates because there’s also motion handling issues that are bothering me. The G5 motion handling was perfect after a full year of updates. The G6 has such bad flickering and small, moving objects that they almost disappear, especially movies like Star Wars. My main complaint though is the brightness. I bought this TV because I thought it was going to be a brighter. More vivid TV like it was advertised. It is not at this point. I sincerely hope LG is making effort to fixing this particular issues so that it lives up to the advertising.

Everything you would expect from an LG TV.
The technology has really improved.
Buy a sound bar.
Picture at home is as good as picture in the store.
Fiber optic WiFi makes all the difference.
