Early Impressions of the "Best" TV in Existence
on December 6, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently upgraded to the 83” LG OLED, and so far it’s been impressive. The picture quality really delivers with deep blacks, immensely bright visuals, and sharp detail, especially in HDR. Soccer and Movies look fantastic at this size, and the ultra-thin profile gives it a premium feel on the wall.
There are a few early drawbacks, though. WebOS still isn’t great—it’s functional, but not as streamlined or intuitive as the ROKU interface for example. I also had some difficulty getting it to play nicely with my Sonos sound system, which took more tinkering than expected. And while it mounts fairly close to the wall, it’s not as completely flush as something like The Frame TV. If you’re hoping to add a decorative frame, be aware there aren’t really off-market frame options available for a screen this size/model.
All that said, these are early impressions. I’ve only had limited time with it, and I’m still testing different content, calibration settings, and integrations. Based on initial use, it’s a fantastic display and a big upgrade—just not a totally seamless ecosystem experience. I’ll update once I’ve spent more time with it.

What an exciting upgrade, Ryan! That 83” LG OLED sounds like it’s already delivering the wow factor with those deep blacks, HDR brilliance, and razor‑sharp detail — perfect for sports and movie nights. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback on WebOS, sound system setup, and mounting design; it’s great to hear the premium look and performance are shining through even as you fine‑tune the experience. Thanks for sharing your early impressions — we can’t wait to hear how it continues to impress as you spend more time with it. Best OLED on the market!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG G5 OLED is an incredible TV. It has perfect blacks along with the brightness of an LED. This is hands down the best OLED on the market. I have previously owned three different version of the LG C series TVs, and this has by far the best picture quality (Dolby Vision), higher refresh rate for gamers and all of the built in apps you could want. The preset picture modes are great, and one new cool feature is you can customize your own picture mode based on your personal preferences, which is a good addition. The upgraded brightness and sleek wall design of the G series compared to the C series is definitely worth it if you’re a tv enthusiast.
The only con (besides the higher price point) is the remote control doesn’t work as well as prior models, but can still get by. You can also connect an Xbox controller directly to the TV through Bluetooth which is a cool wow factor and play games directly through the TV via cloud gaming. Overall am very happy with the TV and would recommend it! The built in tv speakers are pretty good for a tv, but would highly recommend getting a compatible Dolby Atmos capable soundbar as well to take advantage of the best quality sound available.

Almost Perfect
on December 9, 2025

LG would not ship the 77" to me so I bought it elsewhere but I wanted to share my two cents. The TV itself is everything every reviewer has said it is. This TV replaced a six year old LG OLED. But LG should fire whoever thought this remote was worthy of such a fine, and expensive TV. I actually went back to the six year old remote even though not all the functions seem to work. .

This G5 OLED is a cut above all others...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been waiting for the right time to upgrade to an 83-inch OLED, and the LG G5 was worth the wait. The brightness on this panel is phenomenal; it has the pop of an LED but with that perfect OLED contrast. It is significantly brighter than my last set, making HDR content really shine.
The installation looks super clean thanks to the included wall mount service—it hugs the wall perfectly. I’m also blown away by the Alpha 11 AI processor. I watch a mix of high-quality streams and standard satellite TV, and the upscaling makes lower-resolution content look nearly 4K. No artifacts, just a clear, smooth image. Hands down the best TV I’ve ever owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s the best. What a great deal to have gotten this for that amount. Also, the sound is perfection without a speaker too, the quality of the movie or whatever is it that you are watching is amazing!!! You literally will be obsessed with this tv. The remote is so easily accessible. The settings do not fail you, it’s right there.

Beautiful TV and colors but not perfect
on December 16, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV is beautiful. The col ors are vivid. Black is truly black, as its supposed to be in an OLED. Motion and brightness are good. The biggest negative to state about the TV is its representation of near-black. As mentioned, black shows up truly black. But frankly, almost black also shows up as black. What this means is that it is really challenging to see detail in dark scenes. This is especially noticeable in HDR and Dolby Vision. Perhaps there is user error, but I've configured according to guides and am in Filmmaker mode, in a dark room, with proper brightness. There is a setting to make the blacks less black which does bring detail, but also makes the blacks into gray. At that point though, you shouldn't get an OLED. Only other nit is the ads that are plastered all over the TV. Crazy that a TV this premium has so many advertisements. At least they can be turned off (as of now), but honestly, they shouldn't be on by default.
