Drop Dead Gorgeous Display

Stunning picture but serious issue with volume output. I connected the TV to my stereo receiver using an optical cable and the volume was very low. I almost sent the TV back. The wall mount bracket that comes with the TV was relatively easy to install but the instructions were terrible - the available video cleared up my questions. No printed manual and the online manual offered zero information. The onscreen manual isn't much better.

If you have the space and the budget, the feel of a near-cinema screen in your home is very compelling. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the LG OLED97G5WUA and was simply amazed. The picture quality from the OLED evo technology is unbelievable. The blacks are absolute, the colors are vibrant and realistic, and the brightness is more than sufficient for any environment. The thin, minimalist design (Gallery Design) makes it look like a work of art on the wall, even when it's turned off.
The combination of the massive 97-inch screen with LG's α9 (Alpha 9) processor results in a sharp, fluid, and incredibly immersive picture. Watching movies in 4K HDR or gaming is an experience I didn't know was possible to have at home.
In summary, it's a premium product that delivers everything it promises and more. For those who demand the best quality and have the budget for it, it is the perfect choice. I am 100% satisfied!

Great bright picture with improved color represent

Newer tech means more accurate colors, lower energy consumption and brighter overall picture compared to previous generation. So LG improved in every important measurable metric. Only negative is the limited feature set with the included TV remote - which I think is a downgrade. If you have the TV connected to a A/V receiver then it won’t matter. But if you have multiple devices directly connected to the TV then the limited remote becomes a hassle.Thankfully you can use the LG app to control the TV. But the core TV feature set - displaying excellent picture - is the best so far when it comes to OLEDs.

From the moment you turn it on, you’re met with a picture so rich and immersive it almost feels three-dimensional. LG’s OLED evo technology, paired with the new Alpha 11 AI Processor, takes everything you watch and elevates it — whether it’s a 4K HDR film or a 1080p stream. The clarity, contrast, and color accuracy are truly world-class. Blacks are absolute, highlights pop, and the overall image looks more natural than ever.
What impressed me most is how bright this OLED can get. Traditionally, OLEDs struggled in well-lit rooms, but LG’s Brightness Booster Max and improved heat dissipation make this panel more capable than any OLED before it. Whether you’re watching a game in daylight or a movie at night, the picture remains vibrant and consistent.
For gamers, it’s a dream setup. The 165 Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 ports, NVIDIA G-Sync, and AMD FreeSync Premium support make everything ultra-responsive.
