Makes a nice cup of hot coffee but the instruction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For most of adult life, I was not a coffee drinker. Then, I had children. Now, I am a part of the ice coffee revolution, particularly cold brew. When I was given the chance to receive Breville’s Lux Brewer Thermal complimentary in exchange for my honest review, I jumped at the chance. You mean I can make cold brew at home? Let’s do this thing. On the day my brewer arrived, I cleared my schedule, and it is a good thing I did. This Lux Brewer Thermal model is beautiful. The stainless steel look is stunning on my countertop and is sleek enough to leave counter space on my limited surface. I pulled out my instruction manual, and that is where my frustration began. The manual consists of multiple pages of warnings in three languages, and then a few pages of pictorials of how to clean the machine, how to prepare your machine for the particular ph level (testing stick is included) of your water and how to brew hot coffee. And there the manual stops. No explanation on how to make cold brew. No explanation of what the four little icons on the bottom of the brew screen are. For the next four hours, I searched the internet for instructions on this model or even the previous model. I watched countless YouTube videos which only feature the past precision model of this brewer. Finally, I bid goodbye to research and knew the only way forward was through trial and error. I made countless batches of failed cold brew, and some unexpected hot brew. And finally, I had coffee worth drinking. The Breville Lux Brewer makes a really pleasant cup of hot coffee. The thermal keeps the coffee warm for hours, and I believe will be perfect for dinner parties and long mornings chatting over coffee. I am still not convinced of the cold brew setting, but I brewed a pot of hot coffee over ice, and it was acceptable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek coffee maker. Really enjoy the timer feature so coffee is ready when you wake up! Coffee is smooth and delicious. Manual for setup and icons could be better. A lot of fumbling around at first. Will swap out my everyday French press for this!

Simple Machine that Produces Great Tasting Coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THE GOOD: It has a nice sleek design and looks great on my “coffee bar”. The carafe has a solid construction, and I appreciate the ability to remove the water reservoir to fill under the sink. Most importantly, the coffee that this machine brews tastes great! I used whole beans and my burr grinder, and the coffee was rich yet smooth. It was fairly easy to set up, and I like that it incorporates a water filter. I have resorted to using a Keurig recently because I’m a busy working dad, but this makes me realize how much better an actual brewed cup of coffee tastes. It was also quick and easy to brew, so it doesn’t take much more time than “brewing” pod coffee. The coffee stays hot for long periods of time, so you can brew a large pot and drink throughout the morning.
THE NOT SO GOOD: While it was easy to set up, the instructions leave a lot to be desired. I couldn’t find anything that discussed the controls, and I still can’t figure out how to use the custom setting. When I select Custom, it just throws up a timer and starts brewing. While this could be user error, I worry that it may also be a glitch. I know this is a new product release, so hopefully there is more information available online for this product soon. There was another instance where I tried to brew 7 cups, but the machine stopped brewing after about 4. I’m not sure the reason for this but haven’t yet encountered the same issue since.
OVERALL: I love the taste of the coffee that this machine brews, and I’m hopeful that with time there will be better instructions/“tips and tricks” available to make sure I’m doing everything properly. I absolutely LOVE trying new kitchen gadgets, so I am super appreciative of receiving this from Influenster and Breville in exchange for my honest feedback.

Perfect for drip coffee lovers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Omggg I loveeee my new coffee coffee machine!! Ugh I was so excited to get this from influenster, I had to quickly set it up and make my coffee. As an avid coffee enthusiast, I love experimenting machines to help make my mornings better. I currently have a keurig, which is obviously good for single servings, but I needed something that would give me enough coffee to drink through the day. Especially as a college student during finals week, I know my Breville is going to get me through it. The features were a bit tough to understand at first, but once you learn , it’s easy to get the hang of it. Love the different temperature controls on the machine too, something my Keurig doesn’t have. Highly reccomend this to anyone interested in drip coffee ☕️

The coffee tastes amazing and having the ability to make cold brew is nice as well. I also like how well the coffee pot maintains the temperature. I’d recommend!
