Greatness failed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If the soundbar worked all the time it would be close to a B-, but so many times it wouldn't connect correctly. Sometime when I turn the tv and soundbar back on, the soundbar would not connect to my tv through the WOW set up. I could only connect it through bluetooth, which defeats the entire purpose of the WOW speaker set up. One time I can understand, but almost everyday in every situation. Lg please fix what could be a great soundbar

To help with the connection, here are a few steps you can try. First, turn off your soundbar, press the receiver's pairing button, and then turn on the soundbar. Look for a green LED on the receiver to confirm a successful connection. For the wireless subwoofer, plug it into an outlet and turn on the soundbar; the subwoofer’s LED should turn green when connected. If you're trying to connect the LG WOWCAST, hold the reset button on the WOWCAST for three seconds, then press the Wi-Fi or mic mute button on the soundbar for another three seconds. Requires use of phone app to adjust - stupid

I've had this for a couple of months now and am pleased with the sound capabilities of this system, however having to utilize an app on your phone to tailor the sound output is about the most ridiculous thing I have every seen. A simple LED display on the face of the bar indicating which feature setting you are adjusting would be much preferred over the requirement to use your phone. The remote and your colored light system is useless, you expect someone to remeber the colors and what they mean? How much more could it have cost to integrate a LED display into the bar?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised by this LG unit. Surround/spatial sound is very good, definition is great, Dolby Atmos is noticeable. The bass is very punchy, likely thanks to the huge driver on the subwoofer. Able to get loud! Dialog is very clear and easy to hear, even against other sounds. For things like music and sound effects I would say this is 95% of the way there to having a separated L/R channel, and the AI room tuning seems to help with this. I love the wireless communication, you don't need a cable between speakers -- just a power plug in. Set up is easy, and the accompanying app works well. I did struggle with dialing the sound in, however with some work I got what I wanted. The "AI Sound" setting helps improve the spatial quality in a nice way, but with this setting you get no eq customizations, it's a little over surround processed, and the bass is crazy high. Extremely easy to setup and I love that the LG app allows you to customize the sound based on what you’re listening to, if you desire. The price point is excellent and I’d say this is a fantastic value.
I’ve really enjoyed listening to music, movies, news, and even podcasts — the audio is crisp and clear, the bass hits perfectly, and the surround sound aspect feels so comfortable. The pieces themselves visually disappear in my room; they’re not distracting, which is exactly how it should be. I highly recommend this set to instantly elevate your home entertainment experience!

Impeccable surround sound and quality!!

The combination of soundbar, subwoofer, and rear speakers fills the room with rich, multidimensional audio, making movies and music feel like I'm at the theater. I bought this product to create an immersive experience at home, and it delivered everything I wanted. Dialogue is crisp and clear, and the bass is powerful without overwhelming the audio. It also doubles as a powerful Bluetooth speaker for streaming music or podcasts, and it syncs with other Bluetooth speakers in my home. The setup was straightforward, and the speakers paired quickly with my TV. I was using it right away. I love the sleek, modern design; it's lightweight and fits perfectly on my fireplace mantle, with the subwoofer to the side and rear speakers in the back corners for full immersion. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have recently upgraded my current theater sound system with the latest soundbar from LG - S95TR. This is LG's flagship soundbar which comes with two rear speakers and a subwoofer. The box delivered was pretty hefty, so make sure you have someone to help you bring it in your living room.
This is definitely a well designed and well made soundbar. Thankfully LG has upgraded the mesh cover with metallic covering (previously it was a cloth mesh which may tear with time).
The set up is pretty easy, get your TV and the LG Soundbar connected via eARC HDMI input/output and you are set. I would also advise to download LG's app called "LG Soundbar" and connect your new S95TR to it. You will have access to all the features and can tweak all the settings right on your phone. It will also update your soundbar to the latest firmware.
Now to the main thing of this review: how is the sound? I have used some Dolby Atmos demos as well as played a few Marvel Movies and I was blown away by the quality of sound. The sound stage of this soundbar was excellent, the dialogue was clear (and if you need to enhance it even more, you can do so in the app), the up firing speakers on the soundbar itself produced well balanced results and if your ceiling are not too high, the sound literally bounces off and "spreads" evenly to you. The bass is awesome and rumbles my entire living room thanks to the wireless subwoofer.
One thing I would suggest LG to add is being able to access the features and settings of the soundbar via your LG TV instead of the app. I think it should be integrated in the WebOS of the LG TV, so everything would work in synergy like its WOW Orchestra, etc.
I really like my new soundbar and having an amazing theater sound at home is just an icing on the cake!

Great surround system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all this was a great upgrade from my previous Atmos soundbar. Though all media from Tv to movie apps everything was louder and more fuller. The surround speakers worked awesome when receiving Atmos and I was fully immersed with the content. Center channel and overhead speakers were standouts of the system but I was a little sad to see only one HDMI input on the soundbar, there should be at least two with this high of a system. Maybe it was software that will be addressed later not too sure but I wasn’t able to unlock 4K Dolby Vision. Listening to music via Airplay was also great sounding and bass levels were booming.
I would recommend this to a friend!
