The grinder stopped working after about 11 months. I think steam got into the grinder area and caused it to get gunked up. I removed all of the gunked-up debris using a paper towel and the brush provided. I tried to test it at least 6 times, with a small amount of whole beans. It would attempt to grind the beans, grind a very small amount and then stop.

It grinds way too much beans. If it's set for more than 6 cups you get grounds in the pot. We never had this issue with our previous Cuisinart grind and brew.

This coffee maker produced the best cup of coffee I have ever tasted. I set out to purchase a coffee maker that had a burr grinder imbedded in it as I wanted fresh ground coffee with beans that were ground evenly (Unlike a blade grinder). The coffee bean hopper has a generous amount of space for a 1/2 lb. of beans and the clear seal on top fits tight over the bean storage. The coffee maker is very easy to operate. Pour the water into the reservoir, select the coffee strength / number of cups, and push a button to start the process. It is nice too, that you can remove the carafe while the coffee is brewing, pour yourself a cup of coffee and return it to the coffee maker where it will continue brewing. The carafe worked well. No drips. I had a coffee maker prior to his one that you had to have a paper towel handy every time you poured a cup of coffee as the carafe always dripped. To ensure a great cup of coffee, Cuisinart provides a water filter as well. From every coffee brewing angle, this coffee maker with the burr grinder is the best.

Always liked the Cuisinart, and I thought the new design would be an improvement. I was wrong. It constantly clogged and was impossible to clear. It was very frustrating. I had to return it and buy a different brand.

I have owned Cuisinart grind and brew coffee pots for years. After wearing the last one out, I moved up a model to the Burr grinder. It took me a couple of days to get used to the new operations, but after that, it was gold! Easier to clean and the large holding area that allows you to fill it up with beans then just use them by how much coffee you want that day is a great addition. I highly recommend this pot.
