I always thought I was getting good coffee until I purchased this new model. Now, I'm getting great coffee!
I've been using the older model Grind and Brew with the blade grinder for many, many years. They each lasted from 2 to 4 years before replacement. The older model was a pain to clean after each brew.
Cuisinart has made some great improvements. This new model makes much better coffee, is easier to use, and is very easy to clean.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The older models were made much better.
We use 11 cups of water (12 cups will drain out of the back overflow slot) and set the brew to 4 cups. If you set the brew to the same number of cups, it makes espresso!

This is my 3rd or 4th grind and brew. The design has completely changed in the new one.
You don’t have to clean the parts anymore which could go in the dishwasher, so it was no problem.
It never left grounds in the pot.
The new one does leave grounds in the pot and scattered in the machine.
It does not hold as many beans in the hopper, so you have to fill it often.
The carafe retains water in the top rim.
I loved my former ones!!!

I've grinding and brewing whole bean for a while now, the pandemic only increased my consumption to the point I wore out my previous maker. This time, I wanted one that would grind and brew per a timer, therefore the freshest brew I can manage. This model hits on all points. Simply the best home coffee I have ever brewed, and consistently so. The filter and filter housing are easy to clean, and that is pretty much all the love this maker needs.
Everything has shortcomings, and these are pretty petty: (1) I wish there was a bean-hopper extension to increase the bean capacity (I did say I brew a loooot), and related, (2) it does seem to grind a bit more than necessary, so I go through my bean a bit faster than expected.
I had to dig a bit for those shortcomings. Excellent maker.

Works great. Makes my morning coffee just as I like it. Easy to use if you’re the type to read the manual. Super easy to clean and program. My last Grind & Brew had a stainless steel body, this one is black plastic and doesn’t look as nice, but overall, really like this machine! My daughter bought a much higher end Grind and Brew and returned it because it was so complicated to use. She went back to the Cuisinart as well

The grinder and brewer works wonderfully. The machine is wonderfully picky about having water in its tank and a very clean filter and basket. The coffee produced is barista level stuff.

My rating is a 4 not a 5 because of the carafe spout. my wife and I can't pour a cup of coffee, or pour water into the reservoir without dripping water or coffee onto the counter, no matter how fast we pour or how steep the angle we hold the carafe! It's a daily irritation from an otherwise excellent appliance.
