I love just about everything with this coffeemaker. It brews beautifully and our coffee is so rich and yummy every time. The one caveat is that it’s difficult to make just one cup of coffee. We have to put the grind on “4”, which is the lowest setting. That grinds an enormous amount of beans for just a single cup. Other than that, this is wonderful product!

I bought this as a replacement for the previous generation. This unit is quieter, and has a basket that is easier to clean. However, more grounds make it through the filter, the only choice for a carafe is glass (I had an insulate one before and it does not work with this updated model). Be careful when you place the carafe in, if it isn't seated properly, it leaks. I've had to clean my counter twice. This model is also mostly plastic on the outside and looks cheap compared to the model I had with a stainless exterior. The old model lasted 10+ years. let's see if this one can keep up. Oh, and you cannot get these coffee makers fixed. The entire machine must be replaced when something goes wrong. I expected more from my Cuisinart.

This machine grinds beans and makes coffee but the grind texture is very coarse and not adjustable, so the coffee is not great.....if you want to get the most flavor from your expensive coffee beans, grind the beans yourself and use a less expensive coffeemaker.

Pros: This coffeemaker makes very good coffee. Can use either whole beans, grounds or combo. Can make smaller batches as good as full pot. Cons: Very finnicky setting controls. Clock runs fast...have to keep resetting to correct time. Program mode woks ork, but trying to start earlier than planned is cumbersome. Sometime grinds beans twice when starting manually...makes coffee too strong, plugs basket.
All in all...good coffee taste is worth bit of trouble, but there may be better choices out there.

I love the idea of this model, but the burr grinder is high maintenance and it is hard to make a strong pot of coffee. Additionally, the grinder is very loud and warming is limited to 4 hours without the ability to reheat. Overall, I am very disappointed on the quality of this product. Furthermore Cuisinart support was. It will to stand behind their product since it wasn’t purchased directly from them. This tells me a lot about their products and causes me pausé in considering Cuisinart products on the future.

Unfortunately, I can't give this machine a good review - not only was the coffee was weak-tasting, and the grinder completely stopped working after just 2 weeks of use. I had to return it to the point of purchase.

I’ve have owned 2 DGB 900’s one with glass and one with stainless pot. They lasted 7-8 years each. Since then I bought a DGB 800, (I’ve had 3) the first lasted about 6 months ( it quit brewing), the second lasted about 4 months (it guit brewing also) I’m on the 3rd, now so it’s working, but have had a little over a month. Keeping my fingers crossed, my biggest mistake was going for the less expensive product not knowing it would be such a pan. Thanks Tony
