Love this coffee maker. Just keep whole beans in the hopper, turn it on and dial the number of cups you want and press *brew.* It then measures the beans, grinds them and makes your coffee.
I haven’t used the timer because I get up at different times in the morning. I gave my ground coffee away so I haven’t tried ground coffee with this, but just smelling the beans in the kitchen even without the maker brewing is great. The pieces are easy to clean.
One thing. The numbers on the pot are so light it’s hard to know where the water level you want is. So I used a permanent black marker to put a small line where the water level should be.
Highly recommend this coffee maker. It’s worth the price. I’m the only coffee drinker in the house and brew 4 cups for myself. I used a 2 lb bag of beans in a little over a month.

It is so nice to get freshly ground coffee by only having to add water to the machine!! Excellent brewing settings; just a good cup of coffee or 2+ in the morning

Smooth, velvety coffee. Love it. After much thought and years of use, II gave up my previous Cuisinart coffee machine (gave it to my son) and decided to try fresh ground beans. Love it! Easy to operate and makes a discernably better cup of coffee. My only question is that we cannot seem to make "odd" number of cups as the dial moves from 2-4-6-8-10-12 cups. I can work around it but just wondering how to make 7 cups, for example.

I’ve liked this Cuisinart grind and brew coffee maker for many years I had this machine prior to this newest one but it was the type that had a thermos carafe and I now think I like that better. Glass carafes on a burner just make the coffee taste burned. That’s a personal ‘like’ more than anything wrong with this brewer. After many years the previous brewer’s bean grinder crapped out. This brewer grinds a perfect amount of beans and brews a great cup of coffee.

This machine is ok not great due to the fact that if you add a paper filter to the grounds basket the coffee will overflow and spill on the counter as well as grounds mixing in with liquid coffee. Absolutely a messy situation. I prefer paper to reduce the sediment. It is more noisy than my older grind n brew. Makes a decent coffee if you use the mesh filter but there will be thick black sediment at the bottom of every cup.

We had an older version of same model. Had for approximately 10 years I would guess. Loved it. Thought it might be getting old and tired, so we thought we would update. Of course we wanted another Cuisinart. Opps, our mistake. Every change they made seem to cheapen the unit. Hopper is smaller, motor seems to weak to do a good job. Coffee always seems weak no matter what we do. Wish I could have the old one back.
