[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a new coffee maker for my office and I wanted quality and capacity. This Cuisinart Grind and Brew hit all of my requirements right on the head. It’s incredibly well made, beautifully designed and so far works like a charm. The coffee brewed tastes like coffee shop quality without having to pay those prices. I have always enjoyed very good luck and results with Cuisinart products and believe that trend will continue with this coffee maker. It is a bit loud but I knew that would be the case since it grinds the beans. I really don’t- think you can go wrong with this machine, it’s a winner !

I love this coffee pot. I have always ground my own coffee. This is the first time to have one built into the pot. It is fresh every morning and perfect!

The coffeemaker works well in most respects, but there are some shortcomings. One is the small size of the hopper, which only holds about half a cup of beans and must be refilled often. The other is that the grounds overflow the paper filter and must be cleaned out after every brew. And finally, the hot plate does not keep the coffee really hot.

I bought this when my old grind and brew unit wouldn't boil the water anymore, and I'm really glad i did. I should also say the I bought what i thought was the replacement Grind and brew at BB&B, only to find out that it was a propeller grinder with removable inward parts that had to be washed after every use, and I could only put enough beans in for one pot. what a pain! Fortunately BB&B took it back when i returned it after finding this unit. With this unit, i only have to dump the grounds after making a pot, and wash out the filter holder after each use. This pot has an actual burr grinder, which is superior, and a hopper that I can put almost a weeks' worth of beans in. This unit is what I was looking for when I went to BB&B, but they didn't have it. Everything from the old unit has been upgraded, and the only improvement I can suggest is the stainless steel carafe that I had from my original Cuisinart coffee maker.

Nice unit, works fine. Not a great replacement for the individual Cuisinart coffeemaker and burr grinder I had for many years. Getting the right brew strength was a guessing game using the Strength and Cup number(even numbers only) choices. Now changing either of those settings and deciding how much water to use is still a guessing game. I would go back to my original set-up if I had the choice.

The door to get to the coffee grounds consistently jams and requires a few tries to get open. The glass carafe leaks heavily around the plastic ring where it attaches to the glass.
