This is my second griddled. My first one was over 10 years old and finally showing its age. I saw this one and decided to upgrade. I prefer the digital controls over the old ones dials. One of the best features of the "Five" is that the plates are reversible ( the old one had 2 sets that you had to store and try to keep up with). So far I've used it to cook hamburgers and boneless chicken thighs on the griddle, and used the flat panels for panini and pressed Cuban bread. All devious and perfectly cooked.

I like the easiness of cleaning plates and grease tray and reversibility of plates. I still did not get the grip on how to open Griddler without the spilling of grease from the top plate on the countertop. Also I am missing the option to change the time or temperature once they are set.

Don't know why I never owned a griddle, specifically the Gridder Five. We use it for all kinds of cooking. Easy to use. But what impresses me the most is the non-stick griddle plates. Nothing sticks. Great product.

Absolutely LOVE the Griddler! It was a replacement for my old panini press and it has definitely exceeded all my expectations. It is so much more versatile and much easier to clean. Definitiy recommend to anyone who is looking for a high quality product that is versatile and easy to use.

I like the multi-use capacity of the griddler. My only negative comments are 1) it doesn't get dark enough (like the sear lines you'd have with a grill) and 2) I'm still not sure how to lower the temp after the sear function has stopped. It's become sort of hit or miss. Directions not very clear.
