I love it. It's smokless so my house doesn't look like its on fire.

The Griddler is exceptionally versatile, handy, easy to use and reasonably priced. A couple of fairly significant drawbacks prevent me from rating 5-stars - the fact that the heating elements are incapable of maintaining high/sear heats (ie. when searing skirt steak) and that the heat plates tend to lack durability - the non-stick coating bubbles and scrapes easily.

We are trying this puppy out to the fullest. And so far….so good. The temp on the top grate is not quite as hot as the bottom but not Terrible. We had the older base version that died out after a good run and thought we step up a level. Happy with my purchase so far! Gotta get the waffle plates for sure!

Seems to run hotter than temp set. Except when it is full open for griddle, pancakes took for ever at 350' and sides are so short there's nothing to go up against when flipping so you need another tool to push up against. While doing steak it did not automatically go to 425' after sear was set. Hard to understand how to set lid for floating. I ended up cutting 2 pieces (1/2"x1"x3") of wood to set in rear of bottom plate so when I close it, it sets to float, then I remove immediately with wood tongs. I was getting squished steak in rear of plate and uneven burgers, meat is to soft to set the floating top plate. After you do get top to float it does not go back to flat until you shut it all the way, which it says in book, so when you lift it to get your meat out grease drips in back of unit from top plate. The sides are too shallow, again nothing to hold food in place while using spatula and grease goes out about 8" on each side, makes extra cleaning for surface below unit.
Did a tuna melt and a grilled ham and cheese on flat plates at 325' 5 min. worked great. Hamburgers on grill grate at 375' 6 min. was good. The last steak I did was 400' 6min. too done and dark grill lines, set off smoke alarm. Next time I'll try 375' 5min. I have a George Foreman I have used for several years still works and I have mastered that. I also have a waffle maker by Good Food also works excellent. I decided I wanted removable grates for fast cleaning and multiple uses in one appliance. Now I will keep them just in case.

Disappointing purchase.

Very disappointed with this purchase. The top grill of the unit never got very hot to match the bottom grill. The inconsistency made it so we could never press anything reliably or really use the top grill for much of anything.
Final straw was having the power button shoot off while cooling down after a quick cook.

We bought the Griddler about two years ago and have bee very happy with it. Just today, i pressed the button to turn it on and the button ejected from its socket, with broken tabs. I cant find a replacement for it and would hate to throw it away

I bought this Griddler on a lark. I love all things Cuisinart. I bought my first Cuisinart food processor in the early eighties. Since then, I have acquired many small appliances from this amazing company. I really didn’t know what I would do with this thing, or even if I would even use it. Oh my goodness! It has become my favorite toy. I have made grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, steak quesadillas, and crab burritos. I have grilled chicken with it. I have used it nearly ever day since I bought it. It works great and cleanup is a breeze. I keep looking for other ways to use it. I’m SO glad I bought this!

I always thought this would be a waste of kitchen space. WRONG! It can have as much space as it wants.
