I had 2 machines just like this for over 20 years. Switched to a pod machine for a while. Was never satisfied with the taste, so we switched back to Cuisinart so we could buy whole beans again for a way better flavor!

Don’t buy this machine - waste of money

Disappointed with this product. The bean grinder is a tiny cup grinder and it stays wet when you brew coffee. You have to dry it out in order to grind beans. It’s also 10 cup which is small.

Grind and Brew

Coffee filter basket spring broke off on the third day of use. This is the most used area of the pot, where the carafe comes together with the basket, to release coffee into the carafe. For this product to break on day 3, was incredibly disappointing…to say the least. I’ve had many products from Cuisinart over the years, this particular one seems to be of lesser quality.

You Did It - World's Best Cup of Coffee!

This is a great coffee maker. It has option for either pre-ground coffee or whole beans. The stainless carafe keeps the coffee hot for a couple hours without being on a heating element (and getting burnt in the process). It does require some cleaning each use, but that isn't a big deal. It truly makes an outstanding pot of coffee.

Major design flaw.

The hopper for the beans is too small to make a full pot of coffee. This is a fatal flaw-- there is no reasonable way to work around this. For me, this makes the coffee maker non-functional for the purpose that I bought it for. I returned the coffeemaker. It's a crying shame, I love the thermal carafe that keeps the coffee warm without making it bitter from heating it.

This New Model Has Issues

I really wanted to love this coffee maker. We had the old model, which lasted 15 YEARS and was awesome. However, the new model does not work correctly. First batch of 12 cups (using Burr grinder to grind beans) overflowed! Second batch, same thing! Third batch, 10 cups, overflowed. Not sure what the design flaw is, but I followed all directions to a tee. I have read that others have had the same issue. Sadly, I had to return it. Gave two stars because the coffee this machine makes is DELICIOUS.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loving our Cuisinart Auto Grind Coffeemaker! We get the strength of coffee we want, the number of cups we want and our coffee is ground fresh before every pot. It's our second Cuisinart. Our first lasted 10 years before the grinder wouldn't stop grinding and there was no way to fix it. This one is a big improvement over the first one.
