Very inconvenient to use. Needs complete cleaning and drying of the coffee bean chamber every time you use it since the chamber become full of water droplets. Poor design. Had the 900 for years and loved it until the grinder finally failed.

At least 15 years ago, we received this coffee maker as a gift. We liked it so much, we just purchased it again (updated version). The old one was still working, but looking its age. I like the new “clean” feature that our old one lacked. It’s hard to find a coffee maker that grinds the beans and comes with a thermal carafe. Coffee tastes great!

I inherited a 650 that finally bit the dust. Was going to get another, but not available. Cuisinart phone rep suggested the 450. Really like it. Easier to clean than the 650 & doesn't get as messy. Dishwasher safe for cleaning.

I owned a previous version of this coffee maker. After 15 years, it started leaking so I decided to buy another. The new one functions as well as the original but the quality of the materials it's made from is cheaper. Given the quality, I think it's overpriced.

Some of the ground coffee clumps up in the grinding area instead of going into the brew basket. This is a nuisance to clean and it must be clean and dry to make another pot. The grinder is preset to a fairly coarse grind requiring the use of more coffee beans to get the stronger flavour you may want. Steam from brewing collects in the grinder. Because of the need to wash and dry thoroughly all the grinder parts, we have resorted to pre grinding our coffee. We place it in the brew basket, bypassing the grinder. This makes an OK cup of coffee, but defeats the purpose of having a built in grinder. We do not recommend this particular coffee maker.
