I'm very disappointed in the coffee maker. *You cannot brew enough beans to make a strong pot of coffee. *Water condenses in the grinder and on the lid of the grinder. *My previous coffee maker allowed me to put enough beans into the grinder cup for several pots of coffee, and water never condensed inside the grinder. I regret buying this coffeemaker.

Howdy coffee lovers! This was my third Cuisinart whole bean grinding coffee maker but the first 10 cup with stainless steel carafe. This coffee maker is similar in function to the other Cuisinart's so figuring how to set it up was no problem. The stainless steel carafe has the best pouring spout of any of my previous glass carafe's...but that is where my praises end. The opening is too small to get my average sized guy hand in to clean. The coffee maker does not seem to have a warming element for the coffee after it is made and in my opinion the carafe does not keep the coffee warm enough, The SS carafe's promise to keep the coffee pipping hot was the ONLY reason I bought this model. I did understand that this model only makes 10 cups where the glass carafe's models with the warming element can make 12 cups. On this model, someone decided the lid for the copper filter needed to be attached to the filter reservoir by a hinge. WHY??? The filter lid is now not removable making it awkward to clean, rinse and dry, all things I do every day. As with all of the other bean grinding Cuisinart coffee makers I have owned, the coffee bean grinding lid is made of "clear" plastic...well, at least for the first week or so it is clear. The ground coffee dust mixed with the steam as the coffee is being brewed turns the lid a deep, rich caramel color in time. As mentioned above, I clean, rinse and dry everything daily and mine is already changing colors after only a couple of weeks use. What am I doing wrong? My recommendation, there no need to spend extra money for the model with the 10 cup stainless steel carafe...stick with the 12 cup glass carafe model with the warming element...it is easier to clean...keeps the coffee hotter longer...and you have the option of two additional cups of delicious coffee!

Love it. Very user friendly. This is an updated version of the last one I had, which was several years old. It started leaking from the bottom, which was probably due to the age of the water hose inside. I could still use it but not if I prepared it the night before because by morning my counter was covered with water. So I bought a new one. One difference is they changed the “on/off” button to “brew/off,” which was unnecessary and unhelpful, but easy to adapt to. The best change was they added a transparent window to see how much water you’ve added. Coffee comes out very hot, and the stainless steel insulated carafe keeps it hot for hours, just like they describe, with no burnt flavor. I’d never go back to a glass carafe again. The extra cost for the stainless steel carafe is well worth it.

Love this coffeemaker... love waking up to the smell of fresh ground coffee every day! The grind feature is a bit loud, but I guess it has to be in order to be efficient and actually grind real fresh beans. Either way -- we love it!

We were very excited about our Christmas gift of a coffee maker. We tried many things - including troubleshooting videos online as well as in the manual - but regardless of what we did, we never got the proper number of cups of coffee compared to the number of cups we filled in the reservoir. For example, we would put 6 cups in the reservoir and would get about 2 cups out of weak coffee. We tried about five pots unsuccessfully before we decided to ultimately return.

I love this coffeemaker. Coffee always tastes great and its so convenient prepping for waking up to freshly ground coffee aroma. However, the grinder runs way too long. When im up and making a pot of coffee i have to manually stop the grinder, press the preground button and then start the brewing cycle. Seems a little odd having to do all that!
