Excellent Grind and Brew! This is our 4th(?) Cuisinart Grind & Brew and decided this time to purchase a model with the thermal carafe. The 3-piece brew basket is now 2 pieces; the cover and the brew basket holder are now 1 hinged piece. I'm cleaning the same number of pieces so the daily cleaning time is the same. Because a carafe heating element is no longer needed, I've found keeping that bottom plate clean is easier much easier because coffee drips and grounds no longer drip onto/burn onto that plate. The thermal carafe keeps the fresh-brewed coffee hot for at least 2-3 hours. We've had our new Grind & Brew for several weeks and - as with all of our other Cuisinart coffeemakers and kitchen items - we are very pleased with it's quality and performance.

Purchased this as a replacement for Cuisinart's 12 cup Grind & Brew thermal coffeemaker. We loved those, actually purchased two over the years. So far, this is fine, but did like the larger bean hopper on the 12 cup. And definitely wanted the thermal, not glass, carafe. Wasn't available locally.

I bought this coffeemaker as a replacement for a higher end unit that broke down after over a decade plus of daily use. While this coffeemaker makes great coffee, I was a bit disappointed in all of the gadgets that need daily cleaning. I miss the storage area for beans but I know that was a feature I was going to do without in a lower end unit. All in all, there was over $100 difference to replace my older unit and this one. I think that even with the few things I pointed out above, the savings was worth it. I can clean a few more items daily and still get a great cup of coffee.
