Doesn’t keep coffee warm for a long enough period in thermos. Did you reheat in mug in microwave. Replaced with old style 12 cup grind & brew, glass carafe.

This coffee maker is one of my favorites. It brews fresh ground coffee every time. Because it grinds your beans and then brews your coffee you need to clean out the grinder part each time. I love that the carafe is insulated stainless steel. The burner is a glazed porcelain that does not rust. The burner shuts off on its own and the carafe keeps your coffee hot but it doesn’t continually heat it to the point of bitterness. It’s always fresh tasting. Brilliant! I also love that you can brew Coffee grounds just by turning off the grind feature
I would recommend this to a friend!

If you put ten cups of water and fill the grinder with beans it tastes very weak. 8 cups of water is the max I can put in and get a reasonable cup of coffee. The grinder is also extremely loud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have only had this about a month and this morning the coffee didn’t go from the grinder to the basket. After the grind/brew process, when I poured myself a cup it was just hot water. Very disappointing. I expect better from Cuisinart.

Coffee does taste well. But, our experience so far is, that it is not easy to maintain on a regular-use basis. This means, that with each use, we have to pull everything apart in order to clean and dry well. The lid for the carafe traps in used water too well, and is very hard to remove and dry before each use. Grinder is extremely loud. Reminds us of a truck engine starting up. A little hard to program and reprogram, but getting used to it.
