The Double Flip waffle maker is just what I needed to make six large waffles in a short time. Since I'm cooking for two, I refrigerate or freeze most of the waffles for multiple meals. They crisp up nicely in the oven. This waffle maker is a bit heavy and awkward like other large waffle makers, but the design works well for making two waffles at a time.

I was using an older single Belgian Waffle maker that my daughter got me as a Christmas gift some years ago. I splurged and got this one a few weeks ago. This Cuisinart leaves that one in the dust. First, now when I make waffles my husband & I can eat together in stead of eating in shifts like with the single waffle maker! Secondly, the Cuisinart bakes up the double waffles in much less time - and these are pretty waffles, too, very evenly browned and in record time. I waited to get it on sale though - I never pay “full price” for anything if I can keep from it. I’m very satisfied with this double waffle maker. I think you will be, too! This would be your best bet to make waffles quickly if you have guests for breakfast. Cuisinart has a good reputation for their kitchen appliances & gadgets. I have several Cuisinart products: toaster, blender, cookware to name a few and now this double waffle maker. Cuisinart has good warranties on their products - but I’ve yet to ever have to use one of them.
