This is our first bread maker. We use it mostly to knead and raise the dough for baking traditionally in a regular oven. The quality of the knead dough is amazing with the kneading program.

First mixture for jam, came out-Watery. First loaf bread was wonderful and was a pleasant treat after several attempts in previous Cuisinart that did not work. A discussion with your Cuisinart consumer help line suggested I trade the first purchase in which I did without a problem. Second loaf was not rising well, so I paused the rise cycle three times for about eight minutes each to cause the dough to rise more than the machine would have by itself
