This breadmaker was a giant disappointment. I expected better from a Cuisinart.

I love my bread maker and highly recommend using a rug gripper underneath. First time I used it, it rattled off the counter and the lid broke off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Kodak camera of bread machines

Unless you enjoy buying products that are deliberately not serviceable, look elsewhere.
I set out this morning to do some deeper cleaning on this unit by unscrewing the very, very obvious (and seemingly user-serviceable!) Phillips screws holding the heating element to the interior of the "oven." Little did I know that this would result in the insulator/insert dropping into the cavity of the unit.
That light with three screws? Good luck when the glass drops through to the cavity of the unit when you unscrew it.
"OK, annoying - no problem! Let me just open this thing up and get these reattached," you might say.
Well, this thing is designed to be as hostile as possible to repair. 99% of people attempting to disassemble this unit will break it. It is essentially a disposable bread machine. Once anything needs to be replaced, it's essentially garbage. Plastic tabs holding the metal housing to the plastic bottom? Good luck - they're brittle and reversed, designed to be one-way. There's pretty much no way to access the interior of this unit without breaking something. I've given up and am going to do what I should've in the first place - buy a bread machine someone used once or twice and then donated to a resale shop.
This thing is utter junk and the reason I will avoid any and all Cuisinart products going forward. Y'all should be ashamed for making these deliberately difficult to fix.

The kneadind paddle gets stuck up inside the bread. Why oh why can’t they just make it flush with the pan?

very disappointed. I tried five times from white to french to sweet programs. Each time the bread turned out to be a brick. I think the machine over kneads the dough yet didn't give it enough time to rise.

How the bread machine works
on September 14, 2021

It has made one decent loaf of bread even when I add extra flour suggested! So I gave up and now I just make the dough and let it rise on my counter and bake it in my oven. It was a birthday gift from my daughter and her two children so I will make it work the best I can good luck with yours I had a Panasonic for years and it worked every time who knew?

Probably would buy this machine again

Overall we like this machine. It's a little noisy. Also we have tried several basic bread recipes and the loaves keep coming out very dense. We are at high altitude so that could be part of the problem.
