Follow directions to the letter. Dough did not rise as I expected. Mixing paddle was imbedded in the bottom of the dough. Can't really bake the bread in the machine. It should be taken out and placed in a regular oven.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really love this bread maker. It produces consistent and beautiful loaves each time. My only suggestion would be that they include a beep after the third rise, but before the baking starts. Other than that, this is a bread maker well worth the price.

This was given as a gift after my first bread maker of 25+ years. I’ve enjoyed getting back into fresh breads and like the fact that this has multiple sizes (good for the two of us or larger gatherings). Disappointed in the recipes I’ve used so far from the manual, but I still have my bread machine cookbook, and I like the information given on how to adapt your own recipes to the machine. So far, so good! Also, please improve the paddle so it’s easier to remove from the baked product. It’s not always convenient to get to the machine and pop it out of the dough at the correct time! Maybe make it out of a different material?
