I’ve wanted to replace my old bread machine for any years. It took a lot of trial and error to finally land on this Cuisinart Compact. It’s just right for the 2 of us, and the use instructions are easy to follow. It will take me several more tries to perfect the art of bread making with this machine, but testing the results is fun! One caveat to this: the bread shape is weird for us. Kind of like a square with that ever-present hole in the bottom from the paddle. I elect to treat the bread like dough and just transfer it to a buttered loaf pan for baking. If the shape doesn’t rock your world like picky ol’ me, you’re good to go!

Follow directions to the letter. Dough did not rise as I expected. Mixing paddle was imbedded in the bottom of the dough. Can't really bake the bread in the machine. It should be taken out and placed in a regular oven.

I really love this bread maker. It produces consistent and beautiful loaves each time. My only suggestion would be that they include a beep after the third rise, but before the baking starts. Other than that, this is a bread maker well worth the price.
