I bought this t o replace my broken bread machine. I have many cuisinart appliances, so I like the brand. This bread machine, makes a vertical loaf, (I prefer horizontal) but I can adapt. What I don't like is the crust color, even when you choose light, is dark and the bread is over-baked and dry. very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Been testing the recipes provided during purchase. After at least 6 loaves of basic white bread using all brand new ingredients, there's still room for improvement. Medium crust is still light and loaves seem so dense regardless of size.

Do you like bread, but afraid to make because of the kneading and waiting to rise, etc? This is the appliance for you. So easy to make great bread. Lots of good recipes and you just add the ingredients in the order listed and hit a couple of buttons, BAM! you've got bread! Love this appliance!
