This compact bread maker packs a big punch so don't let the small footprint fool you! I have a Zojirushi mini which only makes a horizontal 1 lb loaf, and the Cuisinart Compact bread maker is a bit lighter and about the same size. It also bakes just as well as the Zojirushi mini, has a lot more bread cycles to choose from and will bake up to a 2 lb vertical loaf. Some people don't care for the vertical loaves and want the traditional horizontal loaf. I don't have a preference, but the one thing I do appreciate about the vertical loaf is that fluffy end piece which I cut off as soon a the bread is cool. That is my cook's treat! This is an awesome little bread maker, and I am glad I purchased it. It's an inexpensive model that rivals the more expensive brands. I recommend this bread maker.

Love this machine. Does it’s job well and takes up very little space on the countertop. Also, more sophisticated looking than many of the plastic models on the market. Only reason I gave it a four star rating is that it doesn’t distribute add-ins very evenly. Most still end up at the bottom of the pan.

This bread maker does everything well. I’ve made bread, quick breads and jams, it’s done all well. I used the delay timer and woken to the smell of fresh bread.

This compact bread maker has worked very well in the few months that I've used it! I like that I can keep it on my counter top and it doesn't take up a lot of room, that the mixing pan is simple to remove and it's easy to clean. I've had different makes and models of bread machines over the years, and this one seems to measure up to those heavy monsters :) I would definitely recommend.
