So this 2lbs bread maker does exactly what it claims to do. It makes great bread. It doesn't have add in compartments and fancy things, but I didn't want it to. I wanted a solid bread maker that could make home made delicious white bread, and doughs without preservatives for my family. On this it performed ten out of ten. I have had it around a month and I use it around twice a week. Once to bake a white bread, and once to make a dough or two, depending on the need. I recommend using a bread machine yeast. It seems to just work better. With each recipe it takes me around two or three tries to get it just right. After that I can make it repeatable over and over. The baking pot, I guess I would call it is easy to wash by hand right after use, and I let it air dry and return it to the machine. I haven't tried the delay function yet, but I tend to get up early and kick off my bread so it is hot and ready when needed. The unit isn't what I would call tiny, but it fits neatly on a counter corner and isn't in the way that much. It will be interesting to see how well it performs over two or three years.

I've never used a bread maker and couldn't imagine it being so simple. The recipe book that comes with the machine is clearly written. My first loaf, a whole wheat was delicious and came out perfect. I made challahs next and they, too were awesome. Then I made a rye bread. Also fantastic. This machine doesn't take up a lot of room and it's simple to clean.

What a great compact bread machine! It's very user friendly, and the bread bakes to perfection. The manual comes with A LOT of recipes. The French bread just melts in your mouth.

I absolutely love this bread maker. It’s my first one and I’ve wanted one for years. I immediately started making bread and have made several loaves already. It’s very easy to use, a lot of fun to create yummy bread and makes the house smell amazing from the fresh bread smell. I highly recommend!

I have used my Cuisinart Bread Maker twice. It bakes well. It does not knead well. The bottom of the loaf is dense while the top is light in texture. I took the paddle out at the bake stage which worked well, leaving a small hole. I find it makes bread reasonably well, but you would do better to have a bread pan and knead and rise one more time. Which is what I did the third time. Not using their bake. Now that makes me wonder why I didn’t just make it in a bowl and rise if I’m going to knead it, proof, and baking my own 1.5 lb bake pan. So, I’m saying it’s ok. Just ok.
The pictures are a loaf baked and leafed in the machine and the paddle removed. The second is taking out the dough and knead/tise an extra time and baking at 350°for 36 minutes.
