I enjoy the ease to make a great loaf of bread. I'm having problems getting my sourdough recipe right, but the problem of the bread maker!

The bread maker works but the basic recipe is bland and tasteless. The oatmeal recipe is super dense. I will try to make a different recipe and remove it from the machine and bake it in the oven. If this doesn't work I will return it.

I received this as a Christmas present to replace a long disposed predecessor. It provides excellent bread; done to a turn the way I want it. Given the internet, there is no dearth of excellent, proven recipes. Not foolproof, but darn close!

Makes ok white bread. I truly believe the recipe book needs revising. The wheat bread and other recipes come out like dense bricks. Idk what is wrong.
