I had a bread machine in the 90s that was awesome! I used it for years until it quit. This doesn't compare at all. Small loaves and dense. I am still working on it. It doesn't take up much counter space.

Easy to use with a simple receipe booklet. I like to make the dough in the machine but I am not a fan of it baked in the machine. I have baked several loafs in the machine and they are heavy. I started using the machine for kneading and baking in my oven for better results. I also used different receipes with mixed results. I'm new to bread making so I'm still learning. Experiment with small loafs to see what works before making the 2 lb. loaves. Measuring everything exact also has a lot to do with your results. I like my purchase, just need to use it more and continue to try different receipes.

It makes great bread with minimal effort. The paddle is small enough to leave in, but i don't. The only downside is that its vertical and a bit thick. Makes cutting slices harder than bread from the oven.

This compact size bread maker is perfect. I had one many years ago and they were bulky. This is easier to store. It is also simple to use and has so many options with just a push of a button. I got this as a gift from my husband for my Birthday last month and have made several loaves of bread since then. The recipe book that came with the bread maker is wonderful. I didn't have to go out and buy a book. I have a lot of recipes to enjoy. M-m-m-m I'm beginning to think this birthday gift was more for my Hubbie than me...but...we BOTH love it!
