This was my first time purchasing a bread machine and after doing my research I opted for the cuisinart based on reviews and cost. I’m very pleased and glad I didn’t spend more because I’m using it to mix the dough and then transferring it to the oven for baking. I love the window for viewing while the bread is mixing and cleanup is a breeze. Its small footprint is a plus. My friends have commented how heavy and larger their machines are and since I don’t want it as a fixture in my kitchen, it’s easy to store.

I wanted to be able to have fresh bread without heating up the oven during the summer months. This bread maker is a quality product that provides a quality product on the sandwich bread program (1) and the dough program (8) using bread flour. Great pizza dough and hamburger buns. The non stick quality of the bread pan, and the kneading paddle is amazing...easy to release baked loaf and clean. I was hoping to be able to make a quality loaf of gluten free sandwich bread without the use of xanthan gum. I tried using commercial gluten free flour, my flour mix and also the recommended flour mix in the recipe book. Each resulted in an extremely dense loaf. I believe that the gluten free program is too short. Gluten free flours take longer to absorb moisture and need a longer rising time. My next attempt at GF will be with the #1 program.

Works as indicated. Delicious bread with little to no fuss. Add ingredients as indicated / liquids then dry ingredients then yeast - voila, you’ll be a baker of fresh and artisan bread.
Only problems were of my own making. I forgot to insert paddle. Another time I didn’t secure the paddle in place. Overall a great investment!

Using a GF Bread Mix, got a lovely raisin loaf by adding a cup of raisins and a bit more liquid, first one out of the box the unit came in - worked like a charm ! Getting used to a vertical loaf, last machine was standard horizontal loaf.
