Simply, yes, it is easy to operate and makes delicious bread. No, it doesn't "dance," "walk," or "wobble" across the counter as I have read in other reviews.
I have a very old Dak Auto Bakery (one of the first bread machines) that still makes wonderfully delicious bread; however, a cylindrically-shaped loaf of bread (the pan was cylinder shaped) is not ideal to make sandwiches from. The natives were grumbling. It was also very heavy to lift from where it was stored to where it rested on the counter to make bread. It felt like lifting a boulder at times.
The Cuisinart Compact Automatic Bread Maker is very light to lift (I can carry it easily under one arm.) and makes wonderful rectangular loaves of bread that can have beautiful square slices cut from it for a sandwich. Happy natives and happy me!
