I am disappointed in this bread maker when in operation it walks across the counter and needs to be monitored or it will fall in the floor in addition the bread fails to rise properly if we take the bread out during the paddle phase punch it down and allow it to rise in a bread pan then bake in the oven we have beautiful bread however this defeats the purpose of the machine.

I have found other recipes on-line that taste better than the book provided (especially for gluten free, the main purpose for my purchase). The main issue I have found is that you have to scrape the sides down at the “add in” beeps so that all of your mix is properly incorporated. Otherwise, it has been a very useful tool. I make 2-3 loaves per week.

This is my first Bread Maker and this is exactly what I was looking for. So far I have made White Bread, Pizza dough, and (Love) Zucchini bread. All came out pretty good and my family loves it. Used the auto timer one day and had the bread ready first thing in the morning. The dough program is also very useful as I dislike Kneading. Only thing I am not fond of is the shape of the bread but that's not a big deal - just a personal preference issue.

Unit works very well. The only issue I have is that you can't change the darkness of the bread with the French program. In the recipe book it says why the French bread program has only one level. The problem is there are recipes provided which call for the French program to be used and darkness level is supposed to be variable when in fact it's not. I'm surprised no one from Cuisinart picked up on that discrepancy.
