I have had a different breadmaker for over 25 years. I thought it was time for a new one. I am so glad I purchased the Cuisinart Bread Machine. It makes the best bread. I am so happy with it that I purchased one for my granddaughter.

It is an epic failure. Six loaves following instructions only made bread suitable for magpies. It is poorly configured and offers little control over the knead, proof, and bake cycles. I think my unit may be defective in its thermal regulation.

Baking gluten-free bread is not easy. I have made 3 loaves and they all seem wrong to me. I made one regular rye that I thought would brown all over, but the top doesn't brown. Maybe as I make more bread, I will do better, but so far it's hard even with a fantastic machine and all the ingredients you get to make the best bread. I won't give up!
