I had to replace my old toaster oven so I bought a Cuisinart based on a recommendation of a relative who has owned one for a number of years.
It’s a nice idea that when you open the door, the shelf above pulls out slightly, but really not far enough depending upon what you have in there. If you pull it out a little bit more, it dips down and so whatever you might have on the shelf starts to roll forward or slide downward. The shelf is slightly raised at the end so in general, it will keep things from falling off the end. The problem is that you still have to remove the item, and since it’s hot, you have to find a way to lift it over the edge of the shelf. I would’ve preferred if they didn’t try to engineer it so that the shelf moved out when you open the door slightly. I could’ve pulled the shelf out with a dish cloth, oven, mitt, a fork, etc. As long as the shelf stays straight like it did like my old toaster, it will be no problem.
Depending upon what you’re toasting, the toast color can be a challenge. I definitely don’t use toast for bagels. If it’s a plain bagel, it’s not a problem to use the toast feature. If the bagel has product on it, like an “everything” bagel or an onion bagel, etc. the toast function can burn the product. For that reason, I prefer to use the bake function for bagels.
On a more minor note, the walls of the oven are a much thinner gauged metal than my previous toaster oven. As a result, the toaster makes very slight thumping sounds as the walls expand and contract with the heating and cooling of the oven.
As my title states, I’m just a basic user, so I can’t really comment properly on its use for baking and broiling.

Ordered as a replacement for an older Cuisinart model. As I just use it to toast / reheat, I wanted one I could cancel the toast/heat without having to move a timer knob back to 0 as sometimes I didn't realize the last one was still on since I thought I'd moved knob to 0, put instead had actually moved it slightly past 0 to the cook settings and it would still be heating. This one is a little roomer than my last one and seems easier to clean. As others mentioned, it's a little difficult to see which option the knobs are set on, so I just took a Sharpie and made a dot on the knob surface so it's easier see which setting we're using.

I am happy with this toaster oven purchase. It works very well and is simple to operate. Is easy to clean up after use. Just a couple of minor caveats. The printing around the control knobs could be a little larger, so it would stand out better and be easier to read. Also, the control knobs have a central ridge to line up with the desired function or temperature. However that ridge, while easy to feel, is not easy to see. So we carefully added a red line along the central ridge using nail polish. I think Cuisinart should take note of these suggestions and make these proposed design changes!
