I have owned several of these toaster ovens over the years; a couple had to be replaced after a few weeks or months when an element split or fell out. The third one lasted for years, and now I can't remember why I replaced it [with a real piece of junk]. There are faults with the Cuisinart, but it is certainly the best for the money. Like others have pointed out, the control knobs are ridiculously hard to see and set. I would suggest taking a silver sharpie pen to mark the ridged line on the knobs, and a black sharpie to mark the functions on the toaster body.[Big "T" for toast, etc] I'm surprised the Cuisinart company hasn't dealt with this issue after all this time. The pull out crumb tray is great to have outside the toaster oven, and it performs quite well. I'm glad to have it in the kitchen again.

We bought this Toaster Oven to replace a different brand unit that was smaller. We've had it about a month and use it every day and so far, it is performing as advertised. We read all kinds of reviews on various brands and devices and we just wanted a unit that we could make toast in every morning and occasionally bake or broil something without turning on the main oven in the kitchen. This Toaster Oven fills that roll nicely. It's a little bigger than the device it replaced but not too much so it sits in the same spot on the kitchen counter. It does seem to get a littler hotter on the outside than our Black & Decker model but nothing we can't deal with. All in all and great Toaster Oven.

Great product. Space saver and very easy to use. The only problem I have is the toaster settings. I choose light and I get very brown before the bell goes off so I have to stand and watch so it doesn't burn my toast.
