Looked like a quality oven but my main reason for returning it before even using it was that the writing for the control knobs was so small it was near impossible to read without putting on glasses and even then all of the different setting readings were still difficult to read.

PROBLEMS WITH THIS LITTLE CUISINART TOASTER OVEN

OF COURSE IT WORKS . TOASTS, BAKES, HAS A COOL BAGEL SETTING...HOWEVER, THERE IS REALLY NO EXCUSE FOR SUPPLYING THE UNIT WITH SUCH A POOR QUALITY BAKING TRAY--FOR A LITTLE MORE $ I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE A TEFLON OR GALVANIZED TRAY THAT CLEANS EASILY. THE TRAY DOES NOT CLEAN WELL.
ALSO, THE REVIEWS ABOUT THE SETTING FEATURES THAT I HAVE READ ARE TRUE FOR ME TOO--THE SETTINGS SHOULD BE DELINEATED IN WHITE AND PRINTED LARGER. THE SETTING RIDGE THAT STANDS UP ON EACH KNOB SHOULD ALSO HAVE BEEN DIFFERENTIATED IN COLOR, AS THE BLACK RIDGE ON THE BLACK KNOB IS NEXT TO INVISIBLE.
FINALLY, THE TOP OF THE UNIT SHOULD HAVE BEEN INSULATED BETTER. IT GETS DANGEROUSLY HOT.
THE ONLY REAL POSITIVE IS THAT IT IS A SMALL SIZE AND HAS A PLEASANT DESIGN, WITH A HANDLE THAT IS NOT "INDUSTRIAL" STRENGTH.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
