I bought this over a month ago to replace a Black & Decker that was getting old. I felt Cuisinart was a better brand name and offered a few more features. The performance, however, is less than the Black & Decker. I read all the instructions before using but have experienced some issues. When on higher temps, there is smoking; the toast is never consistently browned, even though the oven is on level counter; the toast rack slides forward whenever the door is opened.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
