Overall a good purchase. The waffle maker turns out some good waffles in short order. I wish the grates were removable for easier cleaning and I also wish it made an audible tone when your waffle is done. However, neither of those two features exists on this unit. When preparing your waffle you must stand there fixated on the green light at the back otherwise you run the risk of burning it black.

This makes good waffles. I love that the light/darkness can be adjusted. Two downsides: It needs to be sprayed between each waffle in order to not stick: maybe that’s due to our high-protein batter or that we like our waffles on the lighter side though. The other is that the latch button intermittently sticks & causes the unit to jump when being flipped back. This is alarming & seems rather dangerous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use and clean. Makes great buttermilk waffles. Temp control is simple to use, just under 4 is my preferred setting. Above 4 browns too much for my taste, but it will go there.

I have only used this waffle maker a few times but have really had great results so far. I like the recipe book provided and have tried a few. My waffles are coming out light and crisp with chewy centers. Everyone has been delighted to have nice deep pockets for toppings. It is easy to use and the design although large in size seems to be acceptable.I had bought one for my daughter last year for Christmas and they have loved it as well. I hope that this will last for several years.
