So far it’s working just fine. It’s just the way of the world that it’s not as sturdy as the previous version I had from cuisinarte. Can only hope it lasts as long as we use it weekly.

We own several waffle makers. 1 is labeled a belgian maker. This Cuisinart Belgian Waffle Maker is by far the best I've ever used. The waffles are very thick with deep pockets (my favorite type) It heats evenly and produces waffles that do not stick or spill out. Very easy to clean because of the superior non stick surface. I think the flip feature helps the process as well. It also has an intuitive timer built in. The only caution would be the stainless steel surfaces get hot. But that's to be expected. You wouldn't touch a frying pan while in use either. In my opinion this waffle maker makes the best waffles I've ever had. That's likely because of the perfect thickness to pocket ratio of the waffles.
