Read the book and follow directions. Only recommendation is not to fill the provided measure cup to the very top or you will have overflow and a mess to clean up. In that note, it was easy to clean.

We love this waffle maker. Only think I would change is making the drip pan a little bigger. It doesn't come out far enough and if it drips it lands on the counter. No big deal though. Makes great waffles.

this is a small waffle maker, very lightweight , plates are not removable for cleaning. Much of it is plastic and is fairly flimsy , cheaply made for a very low price point.. it does work but is inconsistent in the cooking waffle to waffle , but it works ok for me as I only make them once a month. if you make them regularly I would suggest getting a better quality one.
