Good coffee maker. What the carafe is substandard glass or should I say was substandard glass and it just fell apart putting cold water in it one morning.

We had a Cuisinart 12 cup brewer some years back, it quit working after years of use and we jumped on the band wagon of the Keurig coffee brewers. We never really liked the taste no matter what pods we bought and it can get pricey as well. We decided to pack it up and go back to the great taste of the Cuisinart, very happy we did!

Love the unit. It has all features wanted. Only flaw is you can’t pour in all the water when filling, because the top cap does not tilt all the way back or angle back further. The remaining water spills because you have to pour it on the side, not through the pot lip. If trying to empty through the pot lip, the top cap stops you from pouring. You have to refill or overfill the pot when adding water to get your wanted cup size.

I love our coffee! The best coffee maker ever! The 14 cup pot is awesome, make 12 cups during the week and 14 on weekends! And the temp adjustment means you have hot coffee even when you add creamer! The extra boost makes stronger coffee!
