I went from a single serve because of Cuisinart because of it reputation & owning one before was great. The only problem is a design flaw. After using, & you open the lid the drip shelf on the rear isn’t large enough to hold the condensates water amount to allow it to flow back into the machine through the slit on the back. It then causes water to slide down the back of the machine onto the counter service so the machine sits in some water. I returned my previous machine for this reason thinking it was defective but they both have this flaw. The only othe problem was the chime letting you know of coffee is done can barely be heard. This 2 defects makes another one makes skeptical.

I bought this to replace a 5 year old Cuisinart 12 cup coffeemaker that had died.
I went with this model for its large 14 cup capacity and its aesthetics (stainless feint & sides). I found that cleaning the black plastic sides top with Lemon Pledge keeps the unit looking nice.
The “Bold” button and the “1-4” cup settings make it easy to brew a stronger cup of coffee. The new “shower head” design does a better job of saturation all the coffee grounds, rather than having a single exit point for the heated water.
It is easy to set the clock and program the unit. Very simple, so simple that you don’t even need to look at the manual.
The ONLY reason I don’t give this 5 stars is that the area to pour water into the reservoir is a bit narrow. It takes some practice to aim into that area without spilling water. Practice makes perfect.
This is a very good coffee maker.

This is our third cuisinart coffeemaker. I have no regrets in paying a little more for this brand than paying less for another! It’s well worth the $$$!! I brew at least 2 pots of coffee a day & on average the coffeemaker lasts @ 3 years. I love the extra heat button feature!! We enjoy our coffee extra warm not lukewarm!!!! I’ve never had any problems with any until this one. For some unknown reason we can’t figure out after the unit has been on for a short time the carafe won’t slide back in after filling your cup. It’s as if the spring locks up & it doesn’t want to go up as it should! Yet when you flex it manually it easily moves!!

I bought this over 2 years ago, because you can control the brew strength and the hot plate strength. Plus, it's good looking. But, I had to ask for replacements TWICE, for the same reason: The coating on the hot plate breaks down and flakes off. I recently received my third coffeemaker, and it has a different problem: The plastic insert cone & carafe lid don't fit properly. Cuisinart is sending replacements. It's a good thing this came with a 3 year warranty. I also purchased Square Trade. We'll see. But, I just don't think the quality control is very good at all.

This is my 3rd coffee pot (this model), I have had this pot for approx 4 years and the same problem THE HOT PLATE KEEPS RUSTING OUT. I would like to get another one same model because other than the defective hot plate it is a great coffee pot. Maybe Cuisinart can send me a coupon or a discount code or I will shop around for a different brand

Makes excellent coffee, noticeably better than our old Mr. Coffee. However, it was supposed to beep when done, but it doesn't work. Also, it has a charcoal filter for the water that doesn't stay in place unless you hold it down with one finger while slamming the lid to prevent it from floating up. Maybe Cuisinart would warranty it but those deals are always a lot of hassle so I haven't tried.

Looks pretty. Makes 14 cups. Doesn't make very good coffee. Excessive steam comes out of the top and will probably ruin my cabinets. Unfortunately, I don't have any place else to put it except for under the cabinets. I tried to return it when I discovered this issue however the store where I purchased it had a 14-day return policy and wouldn't take it back.
