A solid carafe and the cone-shaped brew basket makes for a nice cup of coffee. We did remove the provided filter as it left too much coffee sludge in the cup. A bamboo filter is a much better choice.

After our last Cuisinart coffee maker died after 11 years, we decided to get another one. The only issue with the last one and also with the new one is that the carafe drips when pouring. Other than that, we like our new one and hope it lasts as long as the previous one.
