This Coffee Maker is a replacement for another Brand and I am just overwhelmed at ease of use, programming timers, and great Hot Coffee.... Love it!!!!
I am on my 3rd Cuisinart 14 cup coffeemaker, not because I have one in each of my vacation homes either. I love the capacity of this pot and the speed at which it delivers my morning cup. However, the way the condensation runs out the back of the maker every time I open the lid to refill the chamber is getting a little better each time I buy a new one. A small molding modification in the plastic that would force the condensation down into the chamber would solve this. Also, the pot has shorted out twice on me. Yes, smoke (no fire) to the point that I had to toss it out in a snow bank last winter. This happens after the brew cycle is complete and the maker is just heating.
I am happy with the purchase of this coffee pot. I would strongly recommend that people buy this pot because of its features. However, the directions were a bit much...so, I watched a You Tube video (no problem).
I've had multiple Cuisinart coffeemakers over the years. My last one had a great curved lip to catch the H2O from the lid when lifted after brewing. This one has a flat piece of plastic that does nothing but allow all the water to run down the back of the coffeemaker onto the surface below. Also, this thing sounds like explosives near the end of the brew cycle. Very unnecessary! Never had a Cuisinart do this before. Only the very cheap brands we've had sounded like this Cuisinart. Very disappointing to see a company go in reverse on quality. I guess making money is the only thing now-a-days. The only thing this has going for it is that is it beautiful. Wish the quality of the coffeemaker matched its looks!!!
This is my second one Cuisinart coffee maker. Y first one wa a 11. Up and lasted for 7 years and still works well, but when I saw the 14 cup I knew I had to replCe the 12 cup.
