I would not consider purchasing another brand besides Cuisinart.
I purchased a Cuisinart toaster 20 years ago and it is still working beautifully.
I also purchased a Cuisinart programmable coffeemaker at the same time.
I just purchased their upgraded model a few weeks ago as a replacement to the original due to the sporatic problem of the on/off buttom.
It is 14 cup coffeemaker compared to my older model which was a 12 cup.
I love that feature.
Cuisinart appliances are a classy design that enhances the overall look of my kitchen.

This coffee pot is a gorgeous addition to our counter. It has so many high end features like carafe temperature control, tone, and an option to make bold coffee. We also love how it can brew up to 14 cups. It has a built in charcoal filter which takes the calcium out of the water. This is especially nice for areas that have hard water.

I have been using Cuisinart appliances exclusively for the past 10 yrs. I love the features of both the coffee maker and the 4 slice toaster. The bold feature for coffee is very convenient for those who like a stronger brew. The toaster as well has useful features depending on your different bread types. Great products!!
