The machine looks sleek and appealing and is sturdy. While it looks nice and does its job, it takes noticeably longer than my previous machine (which was a very simple Hamilton Beach model recommended by consumer reports) to brew a cup of coffee. Ironically, I would say that the results -in terms of taste-- were better with my previous, cheaper model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have owned several Cuisinart products and have never been disappointed, The sad part this our 2nd coffee maker. The good news is that it has large pot ,14 cups. Easy maintain. the filter inside the water tank is great plus. We are always being told "the was good ", need I say more?

Had one of these before. It lasted a couple of years before it stopped keeping coffee hot enough to drink for more than an hour (despite use of the 2-hour hot plate timer setting).
Replaced it with a 12 cup Cuisinart with a thermal carafe and no hot plate. That unit was OK until it stopped brewing coffee to more than a lukewarm temperature. Got tired of having to heat tepid, freshly-brewed coffee in a microwave, so am trying another 14 cup unit with a glass carafe and a hot plate.
Cuisinart's "fooled me twice". If I find I've been fooled thrice, I'll be buying a different brand.

I always buy Cuisinart products for my kitchen. They are very reliable and are well worth the money. I have two Cuisinart coffee makers at this time. Both are a very good product and i recommend Cuisinart to all of my friends and family.

We've used Cuisinart programmable coffeemakers for years. When the last one crapped out, we purchased another. But that one made a HUGE amount of noise when percolating; popping and snapping for some reason. So we replaced it with our current 14-cup Cuisinart. Same thing! Not sure what's going on, but our older models didn't make so much noise when percolating. This thing wakes me up sometimes.
