I LOVE this coffeemaker! First of all, I love the colors and design. I also love that the coffee is HOT and delicious! There is a timer to start and stop, there is a setting for the temperature of the hot plate, the maker beeps when the coffee is done, and when it turns itself off. I am so glad that I bought this!

I have had the unfortunate luck of purchasing 2 of these coffee makers within a month of each other and they both stopped working from one day to the next. I keep my coffeemaker plugged in like all my other small appliances and use it every 2-3 days to brew 2-4 cups in the morning. I owned my previous coffeemaker from a different manufacturer for over 5 years - used it the exact same way with no issues. It’s a shame because it brews coffee well, is easy to clean and I like the additional features that come with it. Looking for a different brand.

Does what I expected it to do. Make coffee. I like the reusable filter and well designed carafe. I havent used all the features as I just use normal brew most of the time.

I like the coffee maker as it relates to making good coffee. I don't like the quality of the coffee maker as I've had problems with two previous ones that leaked after a year or so.

This Cuisinart is replacing an at least 10-15 year old Krups. A very similar coffee maker. This Cuisinart is structured essentially the same, but what is a dramatically improvement is, what I'll call the drip head, the structure that drips the hot water on the coffee. It is large in diameter, more holes and, most importantly to me it is much flatter; less depth. We like our coffee strong and would often fill a #3 paper filter to within an inch of the top for what is marked on the carafe as 6-7 cups. As the coffee volume expanded it would contact the drip head structure. Messy. Not even close on this Cuisinart. The water is hotter, coffee richer, controls are simple with good instructions. I have been using the metal basket and really like it although, as warned, the standard grind lets some particles get through. Not a problem other than esthetics for me and if you get whole bean and grind it your self use the first, coarser, perked coffee setting. We fill it up to the 6-7 cup mark and get maybe four 8 oz. mugs out of it. They measure 14 "cups" as the carafe capacity, not mugs. As I have said, we like strong coffee and there is not enough room to put enough coffee in to fill the carafe with coffee to our taste. Oh yeah, there is a sight gage on the right side of the reservoir as you face the machine. Very helpful. It's a good machine. 5 Stars.
