The coffee is fine but the clock is faulty. It runs EXTREMELY fast . As in when the unit has been on for 30 minutes, the clock will be two hours which engages the auto off. Not great when part of the reason for buying a coffee maker like this is for the auto brew and auto off features

Bought it for the extra 2 cups to 14 but every time we go that full grounds overflow into carafe making the extra two cups unusable. Everything is black: lid/filter receiver/water tank AND the lip of the pot so even in bright light, you can't tell where you're pouring and given the tank aperture is too small, you have to be stupid careful not to pour into filter. THEN the lid doesn't open far enough so when one is trying to pour the last few ounces out of the pot , into the tank, one hits the lid before the pot tis empty. Ergonomics are abysmal!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this expecting a product that lived up to the name. Trouble right from the start! First pot of coffee resulted in grounds in the pot and all over the coffee maker. Thought maybe I did something wrong. Used a paper filter second time! Same result! Started checking things and found that the drip actuator on the basket was not made or installed correctly at the factory! Returned and won’t be buying another product from this company again.

Coffeemaker was very easy to use. Nice big carafe, but then we were used to our French press. Got this for serving an influx of relatives who’d come for a wedding. It did well.

This is without doubt the best coffee maker on the market. If your coffee is important to you and you measure out your water and coffee for perfectly consistent coffee, then this is the last coffee maker you will buy. I get the same exact, perfect cup of coffee every time. Ron

I'm just a regular coffee drinker that likes a good, strong, fresh cup in the morning and this machine provides exactly what I want. The only problem I foresee is that the snaps on to the handle, putting stress on the snap tabs. I live in the desert and just know those are going break off some day, requiring the purchase of a new lid. I failed to investigate how the lid operated before purchasing. My mistake.
