While the 14 cups coffemaker works great from the first day, I had been frustrated with its leaky spillover when trying to pour coffee with at least 10 cups water level. After contacting Cuisinart about it, they quickly sent a replacement glass carafe, and it solved the spillover problem.
This is a nice large coffee pot that brews 14 cups of coffee. It can be programmed to start brewing when you need it to, so you can have a cup of coffee when you get up. You can also program the hot plate to stay on from 1 to 4 hours. If I have a complaint about this coffee pot you have the option to set the coffee temperature to three different settings, Low, Medium or High, but even on the high setting the coffee doesn’t seem to be that hot. Overall I would recommend this coffee pot, I’ve been using Cuisinart coffee pots for over twenty years and even though they are more costly the some other brands they do last, plus they have a decent warranty program.
Coffe is fine. Unit is larger than I invisioned, therefore need sufficient counter space. I agree with other reviewers that the coffee completed brew beep is way loud and steam coming out the back when coffee is brewing is excessive. Need to pull it out away from overhead cabinets to prevent damage.
Very nice drip coffee maker. I’ve been buying inexpensive Mr Coffee machines for the last few years. Decided I deserved something a bit better quality. This Cuisinart fits the bill. Not too pricey but definitely an upgrade from a basic Mr Coffee. I love that the coffee temperature is hot enough that when adding cream you still have a nice hot cup of coffee.
Using 14 tsp or more of ground coffee causes the basket to overflow, leaving grounds in the pot and everywhere. Why is this a 14 cup pot if it can only be made as weak coffee? Other features are nice, but this is a very basic design flaw.
