Makes great coffee and even though I filter the water before it enters the coffeemaker the water is being filtered a second time inside the coffeemaker.

You have to be careful when removing that carafe before the brew cycle is complete. The coffee sometimes drips onto the plate. But the machine makes very good coffee.

Love this coffeemaker: however, I wish it lasted longer. This is my third one and the first two lasted a little over a year. We have hard water and even though I decalcify monthly, I am unable to keep the coffee pot performing for as long as I think it should last.
