I’m on my third DCC-3200, 14 cup coffee maker. I purchased one and Cuisinart has replaced that one and two more because after using the units for about two or three weeks, the coffee basket overflows the filter and grinds flow into the carafe and the unit’s water reservoir, requiring a complete clean out and replacing the units water filter. Cuisinart says it’s a design issue with the filter basket holder, however, the last one they sent, repeated the same failure in u fee three weeks. I’ve had a DCC-3200 for about two years which worked flawlessly. We wore the graduations off of the carafe, the paint off the case and heating plate and the writing on the control panel but it still makes a great cup of coffee. I still use it every time the new ones fail. I swapped in the old carafe and filter basket and the same thing happens so I think that regardless of what they say, the issue has to be with the machine and not the basket holder. Looking for a replacement and still using the old one. Will call Cuisinart on Monday for a refund and a return label.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like this model and had one for several years before I replaced it with this one, but after only a couple of months the clock is not keeping the correct time which renders the automatic brew feature unusable. As it is plugged in to a GFCI outlet, I believe it is a malfunction in the machine rather than something caused by an electrical event.
A couple of irritating defects….The coffee pot lid will not seat properly without a LOT of work to do it. The permentant filter basket will not go into place with out making sure to push it way down, so sometimes while brewing the basket is not right and brewing stops and can make a mess by overflowing. Have to be really careful when putting in filter. Shouldn’t be that hard. The coffee is good when it works right.
