This is the third Cuisinart coffee maker we have owned. The other 2 had the stainless steel carafes, which I love and wish this one had it. Other than that we love it!!! Easy to program, we always had to make 2 pots before, now we usually only make 1. We do use other carafes to put the coffee into, once done, no big deal. You can set how long you want the warming plate to stay on, so you don't have to worry about shutting it off. Since we are only making 1 pot a day, we are saving on coffee and filters.

I bought this coffee maker to replace a Cuisinart 12 cup unit that has given me a lot of years of good service but was not keeping the coffee as hot as it should. No such issues with this one! It keeps the great tasting coffee just as hot as I want! It's classy looking and simple to use, PLUS, from my previous experience, I know that Cuisinart stand by their products if something should go wrong... I would definitely recommend this coffee maker!

This is an excellent coffee maker. The only complaint I would have is that the glass is more fragile than imagined. When I bought this coffee maker, I broke the glass pot when I tapped it very gently against my counter. Honestly, I didn't use much force so the fact that it broke, surprised me. I had to order a replacement pot ( which we haven't broken) and it has just been phenomenal.

We bought this around a month ago or so. Love that you can set the time for coffeemaker to go off up to 4 hours and that the pot does not drip when pouring even when pot is full like our last few coffeemakers. Only thing I don't like is that when you open the top to refill, the condensation runs down back of machine and on to counter.

The primary reason I bought this coffeemaker was that I wanted to be able to get a cup of HOT coffee. Initially that wasn't happening, so I called for customer service. The woman I spoke with knew her business. She told me what to do, I followed her instructions, and lo and behold, HOT COFFEE.

The Cuisinart 14-cup Programmable Coffeemaker was widely touted as the best coffeemaker on the market and it fully lives up to its hype. When my Oster finally gave up the ghost after five years or so, I initially feared I'd be unable to find another as good. My fears were realized when a Farberware device proved vastly inferior. Unfazed, I sprang for a more expensive machine, determined that if it didn't live up to its reputation, I'd return it and look for another (rare) Oster. But the Cuisinart is everything everyone said it is: It produced uniformly-excellent coffee, whether you add just the right amount of ground coffee, a bit too much, or a bit too little. I attribute that characteristic--the essence of a great machine, I think--to sturdy compression, producing just the right amount of vacuum to draw all the taste out of one's ground beans and into the liquid. Sneak a cup before the reservoir's empty on a cold, dark, wet morning and neither the cone nor the carafe drip. Linger longer than usual over your first cup and the remainder in the carafe stays hot without growing too strong or bitter. Prefer paper to the permanent gold filter? The machine works equally well with either, so if you run out of paper and still need your java, the permanent gold filter's always there for you. (The machine takes cone rather than basket filters; I've found cones produce a blend with a richer, more robust, more complex flavor than baskets, probably because a cone requires hot water to spend more time flowing through the grounds. (If you have a basket-type machine, try tamping down the grounds in your basket while adding an extra tablespoonful or two of coffee; you'll get a result nearly as good as the cones produce. (But why settle?) This Cuisinart allows you to adjust the temperature of the hotplate from warm to hot and has a special button for when you're making four or fewer cups at a time. It signals the completion of the brew cycle with a cheery five-tone salute after about seven minutes and two or so hours later rings an additional single tone when the hotplate automatically shuts off. The Cuisinart comes wrapped in an easily-cleaned stainless steel casing that fits neatly under kitchen cabinets, and even the carafe is more carefully weighted than others to promote stability both on the hotplate and the table. So if, like me, you want to be sure you'll be getting excellent coffee every morning no matter how you felt the night before, the Cuisinart 14 is darn near fool-proof. À votre Santé!

I purchased the first 14 cup cuisinart coffee maker in July 2017. It started leaking the water out and ultimately shorted out before the first year. Cuisinart replaced it. In the meantime I purchased another one because I can't go that long without coffee while waiting for the warranty replacement . I love the pot, but not sure why it didn't last longer. Thank goodness for the 3 year warranty.
