We have had a Cuisenart 12 cup coffee maker for years, and we loved it. We drink a lot of coffee, so I went with the 14 cup, and it's been a huge disappointment. First, it doesn't make 14 cups because when you fill the water to the 14 mark, the coffee grinds explode all over the inside of the machine which requires much cleaning. We have had to go to the 13 line and not use as much coffee to prevent this from happening. In addition, the pot spills when trying to poor, which has never been an issue with our old model. Very disappointed. We just ordered a different one out of frustration.

Thank you for sharing your experience—we’re sorry to hear the 14-cup coffee maker did not meet your expectations compared to your previous model. To help improve brewing results, we recommend slightly reducing the coffee-to-water ratio and ensuring the brew basket is properly seated, as overfilling or excess grounds can cause overflow, and pouring slowly from a fully seated lid may help reduce dripping. I've used this coffeemaker for several years. It brews a GREAT cup of coffee but unfortunately there has been quality control problems that have led to malfunctions. The most recent coffeemaker lasted less than a year. About 6 months in the "Clean" light comes on despite the fact that it has just been cleaned. Within 5-7 days of cleaning, the brew cycle slows way down and the coffee quality falls off considerably. The machine I just purchased worked great for the 1st four days, then the "Clean" light came on. So I've just cleaned it for the 1st time. We'll see how long it takes for the light to come on. I'll likely need to warranty this coffeemaker if the problem persists. Again, great coffee but quality control needs to improve.

Thank you for sharing your long‑term experience—we’re glad to hear you’ve consistently enjoyed the coffee quality, though we’re sorry about the recurring performance concerns. When the Clean light appears prematurely or brew time slows, this can sometimes be caused by mineral buildup or sensor sensitivity, and using a vinegar‑based descaling solution, filtered water, and completing the full clean cycle without interruption may help improve consistency. If the issue continues, our Consumer Assistance Center can help review warranty options and next steps at 1‑800‑726‑0190. We appreciate your continued trust and candid feedback, as it’s critical in helping us strengthen quality control and improve future models.
Most money I ever spent on a coffee pot. Had lots of trouble with the lid. The programmer on/off does not work. Very disappointed

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re sorry to hear about the trouble you’ve had with the lid and the programming features—especially after making a significant investment. For issues with the lid or the on/off programming, we recommend confirming the lid is fully seated and reviewing the programming steps carefully, as incomplete engagement can prevent proper operation. Our Consumer Assistance Center would be happy to help troubleshoot or review next steps at 1‑800‑726‑0190—please reference Ticket #: 8900644364 when calling. Thank you for your feedback; comments like yours help us drive improvements in future models.
We had another expensive coffeemaker that started leaking so replaced it with this model. The previous one preheated the water so it would brew faster and the new one did not. Even so, we were surprised! The coffee is much tastier, probably because it takes a bit longer to brew. Worth the short wait!
